As many times as I have been to WDW , each time we book a trip I always freeze at the thought of having to book these fast passes, when you are able to book them and connecting them to our reservations.

It is always is the "pre work" that needs to be done before enjoying a magical time in Disney.

Anyway.....can someone remind me again...........

1) Booking the fast passes - how far out can I reserve them ( will be there Feb 16th and Feb 17th)

2) Do I have to have my tickets purchased already before I make them or can I make them and then connect them to the tickets once I purchase them.

3) Do I have this correct - 3 Fast passes - one day - one park - so if we plan on doing Hollywood Studio in the morning - and Epcot in the afternoon - same day - I can do 3 at either Hollywood Studios or 3 at Epcot -

Thanks as I know this has probably been asked over and over and over.........

I'll give my answers, but you might get more accurate replies later...

1) IF you are staying ON PROPERTY, you can book FP+ 60 days in advance (December 18, 2018 for February 16, 2019) and for up to 10 days including that day. IF you are NOT staying on property (or a 'good neighbor resort [Disney Springs area]) you have a 30 day window (January 17, 2019)

2) This is where I am not certain...I believe that you MUST have tickets for the days you want to book FP+ for, as the FP+ options are associated with ticketed days.

3) You are allotted 3 initial FP+ options per day in one park. These initial 3 FP+ options cannot be split between parks...as far as I am aware. IF that park has tiered attractions, you are allowed one (1) Tier 1 FP+ option and two (2) Tier 2 FP+ options. Once those options have been used, or the associated window of use has closed, you may select one (1) more FP+ option at any park, where available. Once that one is used, or the associated usage window has closed, you may select another...and so on.

Happy planning!!!

Bud is correct you must have tickets linked to MDE to make fp+ reservations. It will not let you reserve without them

One minor correction to Bud's answer to Item #1: IF you are staying ON PROPERTY, you can book FP+ starting 60 days in advance - making them for up to 14 days out. If your stay is longer than 14 days, then on the next day (59 days before you check-in) you'll be able to make FP+ for the 15th day, and so on. The FP+ window will continue to open one day at a time, and you'll maintain that 14 day advantage.

Of course, for most of us, a trip of more than 14 days is unusual, so we're not likely to run into this little quirk/advantage.

I just want to say that I am jealous that Fangorn was at Disneyland on opening day.

I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Well, to be completely transparent, it sounds more impressive than it may actually be. Yes, I was there, but I wasn't 2 yet and have zero memory of the event. There are pictures (somewhere) though.

You can still say you were there though. Smile I have pictures of being there when I was around that age, but I don't remember it either. I am holding a mickey bar, so I blame my parents for my addiction. :P
