I got a message from Disney regarding my reservation at mama melrose in September. I tried to call back but got a voicemail so I left a message. That was two days ago and no one has called back. Any ideas as to what this might be about?

It is being rumored that they are closing for 6 months for a make over. Nothing has been said officially but they are expecting a lot of DHS info to be announced at D23 today.

So how would that affect my reservation? As far as would they switch me to another HS restaurant? Also it was part of a fantastic package, would this be affected?

I honestly don't know. Have you tried calling regular dining. Perhaps there is a note in your ADR.

We had something like this happen a few years back. We had made a reservation at a restaurant that had gone done for refurbishment for a date after they were scheduled to reopen. For some reason, they delayed the reopening of the restaurant. When I finally was able to connect with the folks who had called me, they were quite apologetic, helped me change my reservation to another venue, and provided us with VIP viewing of Illuminations. It all worked out.
