Is anyone else concerned about the tropical storm. We are supposed to fly out of Minneapolis next Wednesday morning and I am getting a little nervous. Has anyone else had their flight cancelled because of a tropical storm. What did you do about your hotel ressie if it was?

You should be fine coming in Wednesday. If your flight is cancelled, the airline will rebook you. You can also call Disney and let them know you might be arriving a day late. They are good about adjusting cancellation policies during named tropical systems. It is much worse when you are stuck in Orlando and unable to get back home due to a storm. At least you are incoming and can probably handle flight changes easier from home. I was at WDW during Hurricane Sandy and it was such a cluster to get home and I did not have the option of staying longer. I ended up flyng home a day early and Disney refunded my unused room night at WL.

We are flying out Sunday morning for a week at GF CL. I am not even the slightest concerned. If anything, the crowds thin out significantly. Air travel should not be affected whatsoever. I'm packing ponchos, and umbrellas. WDW should get some serious rain Sun, Mon, and maybe Tue, but no storm is putting a damper on my trip!

I'm posting the weather update now, but no need to worry about Erika. By Wednesday Orlando should be fine. Should being the key word. But right now all indications are that the greatest impact from Erika will be Monday and Tuesday and mostly just heavy rain. Wind shouldn't be too big of a deal. Check the weather forecast thread for updates.
