I just read some news that the Disney Vacation Account program is ending. I know some people liked using it to help save for their trip, but it seems to be winding down, with closure coming on September 27, 2017.
All money will be returned, so this is more a heads-up for anyone who was thinking of using it for their next vacation.

I have to wonder if this action is in any way connected to the rumors that Disney and Chase are about to part ways. Chase is the bank behind the Vacation Account program. It could be a first step (small, relatively few customers impacted) towards dissolving the relationship between the two companies.
Just a thought.

I had the same thought. I love my Disney Visa, but I also have a Chase Sapphire Reserve and THAT is a FANTASTIC card, especially for travel perks.

It seems that this rumor is being fueled by the fact that Epcot's F&W Festival will not be sponsored by Chase, at least that is what I read in another forum.
But I also recall that when we first got the card (as a Day 1 Charter Member :number1:) that it was a Bank 1 card, not Chase. I'd assume that if Disney and Chase do part ways that the rewards program will still exist in some manner.
