We are arriving a day early for our next trip and staying off property for one night (free rooms close to the outlet mall) We are planning to visit MK in the afternoon and hit some Classics since we have a first timer with us and then spend the evening at DTD/Disney Quest. We have APs so parking is free but I don't want to drive to DTD on a Saturday night. Do I?
Any advise on the best way park, travel, make that happen?

Staying off property, driving to DTD is pretty much your only option. Look for the parking garage. It'll still be nuts on a Saturday night, but since the garage has opened parking is a little bit better.

I guess we will park at DTD when we arrive and bus to MK then back to DTD for the evening. I am overthinking this as I do all things trip related as the trips draw nearer.

You actually can't park at DTD and bus to MK. There's no bus service between parks and DTD. And it's actually against the rules since it's paid parking at the theme parks and not at DTD. So Disney makes it as difficult as possible to do that.

You could park at DTD and take a bus to the contemporary and then just walk to MK

I thought about parking at TTC and going back there at the end of the evening. I park free that's not a thing. May be easier to get in and out of there.

That might be a good option because traffic is crazy at DTD. I don't know for sure if you can take a bus from TTC to DTD. If you can that sounds like the better option. I just never recall seeing a sign at DTD for a TTC bus stop.

You could park at TTC and go to MK as planned. Afterwards you could walk over to the CR and grab a bus to DTD or take a bus to OKW and boat over to the Westside or bus to SSR and walk over via the new bridge. When your time at DTD is done you could bus to the Poly and walk over (or monorail) to the TTC.

That does sound like a better plan. MK is open till 12am with magic hours till 2am so there should be no issue with getting back to our vehicle.
