Disney Parks Blog has announced that this year there will be FP+ available. You can log on to MDE and reserve 74 days in advance. The shows are at 5:30, 6:45, and 8 p.m. each night of the Festival. Look for the FastPass+ line at the American Gardens Theatre at least 20 minutes before each show, and from there you’ll be led to your special seating area.

Sigh. Will this count as one of your FP+ selections for the day?

I just went and checked. It does count as one of the 3, to add insult to injury it is in the top tier with TT and Soaring.

Wow! You would have to want to be in a special section really bad to use a tier one FP for a concert you can stand in back and hear/see the performance.

Agreed and having to show up 20 mins in advance to boot!

When we have shown up 15 mins in advance we got good seats without using a FP.:D

Would it be horrible if I say it works for me if it leaves me more Test Track & Soarin' fast passes? ;)

In all seriousness, though I'm sure there will be some people who will be thrilled. There always seems to be something that I think is crazy that other people love.

Do you still have issues getting Soarin' and TT FP+, Cindy? I don't have issues with that, it's just the tier thing that bothers me (which screams 'there isn't enough to do in this park!!')

Last month, we didn't do Soarin' because I chose TT in that category. It's sad, but for me at least, what FP+ has done is put into my head that I must choose, or choose to wait a long time for the non FP+ attraction. I'll admit though, there are probably times that's not necessarily true though. But, we usually just don't bother. With the old system, it was much easier to get in both attractions in a day, sometimes multiple times using FP and arriving early.

With Eat to the Beat, sure, sometimes those lines look insane, but once the theater opens, it's usually surprising just how many folks will fit. Like someone mentioned, you could always walk up and grab a seat in the back. But now, what affect will FP+ have? How much of the seating will be reserved for this? Only time will tell.

I will that as a local, I'd love this. TT and Soarin' are always there for a visit in the near future.

I only have trouble when I try to get it really late like the morning of or night before. Most of the time there are a few left every morning until 9ish. I hate the tier thing too. And I think it is so silly that I then have to pick two things that I really don't need fast passes for. Maybe they should be done with it and just say 1 choice at Epcot and then you can pick more after you use it.

The way I handle the tiering at Epcot is we use tier 1 for Soarin' and use single rider line for Test Track. We have never bought the ride pictures, as we never look good in them. My Cro-Magnon forehead is on display when we ride Test Track ;) ! Use the same strategy at DHS. I understand that doesn't work for everyone, especially if you have young children.

That is one thing they do at Disneyland that I wish was more prevalent in WDW; lots of single rider lines.

Geez, there is no way I would spend a FP+ selection on that....
