Hello!
I have a friend who will be staying at the Dolphin and may need to go to a Guest Relations desk to activate her purchased Magic Bands. Is the only Guest Relations at Epcot located at the main entrance or is there one closer to the World Showcase? The slight differences of staying at the Dolphin vs. a full-on Disney resort are throwing me for a loop. TIA for the info. :mickey:

Would suggest checking with Guest Relations in the Boardwalk lobby. Probably the closest one to the Dolphin.

Why would your friend need to do that? You (the 'royal' you) should be able to go into the MDE app (or online) and enter the information under the MagicBands and Tickets 'tab' and immediately have it active.

How to Activate the MagicBand or Card
MagicBands and cards won't work unless they are activated. To do this, link the device to your My Disney Experience account, which keeps track of all your vacation packages, vacation plans and any money you've loaded onto the account. Each reservation you make must be linked to the MagicBand or card separately:

  • Create or sign into your My Disney Experience account.
  • Once your account is created, any reservation items that you have already made will be automatically linked, such as your hotel reservations and park tickets.
  • If you don't already see your MagicBand or card linked, then add it by visiting the linking page of your account and clicking "Select" under the icon that says "MagicBand."
  • Enter the ID number listed on your MagicBand or on the back of your card. You can link up to 10 MagicBands to one account. Follow the same process for annual passes and tickets.

Echoing Bud. There is no such thing as "activating" Magic Bands. The only thing that comes close is linking a band to a specific MDE account. That's something the user can do themselves.

BTW, there is a Guest Relations location at the International Gateway.
