Wow! The last few times that we have been at Disney have been so busy!!! Has anyone gone in January? What are the crowds like and is there generally any special events happening???

Yeah, it's become busy pretty much year round now, unfortunately. During January you have the Marathon Weekend which is very busy, and increases traffic at least some the week before and after. You also have a ton of South American visitors as it's their summer vacation. January used to be extremely quiet. It's still not horrible, but it's not empty anymore either.
