Hello all,

We are thinking of taking a last minute trip to the World leaving 09/02/15 and returning 09/06/15 for our 25th wedding anniversary. I have a couple concerns if someone could help me with.

First how much time does disney need to get your magical express luggage tags to you in the mail - do they have a cut off to where they won't send them and you will have to be responsible to get your own luggage.

Second we have never been to the World in September. I am worried about the weather and hurricanes. I know it will be hot and probably rain every day but is it as bad as people say it is. We are not planning to go to the parks but rather enjoy the resort, some of our favorite restaurants and go to Downtown Disney. We may sneak in a day at one of the parks but as of right now no plans to.

I just can't make up my mind if we should go or not. What does everyone think?

Thanks for the help!

Go!

We're regular visitors in late August/early September (leaving on the 3rd this year) and we love it. Yes, it is hot. Yes, it is humid, but Florida seems to always be hot and humid. We're smart about it, take times in air conditioning, but the crowds are fairly low and waits aren't too bad.

There is free-dining, so restaurants can be busy, but not insanely so.

Definitely GO!

I love last minute trips.
Yes, September is very hot and humid.
Just take it easy and you should be fine.

As far as luggage tags, if you don't receive them before
you leave, DME will still delivery them to your resort. Just
let them know at DME check in. They will retrieve them
from the luggage description you leave.

We go every September and we've never had weather bad enough to keep us from enjoying Disney. It will rain most days, some just a short afternoon shower, other days it could rain a good portion of the day. Each year is different. I've never had it rain out a trip though. If you book now, I would think you would still have enough time for them to send you magical express tags, but I'm sure Disney can confirm.
