Let me be more specific. Something like downtown disney. Things at other resorts? Anything outside the "parks"

The reason I'm asking is our trip consists of 1.5 days of downtime. When we arrive the first day I figured we can settle in and simply wonder around and maybe go to certain activities at other resorts (not sure what is around).

We also have one full day (although debating whether we should just to a park) but if there are tons of other things to do outside the park. We can perhaps do that.

Golf, Mini-Golf are the obvious ones.

There is para-sailing, fishing, or just boat rentals at the MK area resorts.

Horseback riding at the Wilderness Campground.

What resort are you staying at and what time of the year? Ages/interests of people?

1. Little nature trail behind Wilderness Lodge
2. Monorail everywhere it goes
3. Boardwalk Area - Shopping, snacks, street performers in the evening.
Lots...

There is a fishing hole at Riverside. My kids liked that. We had some cheese from the snack tray and the bluegill loved it!

Boat ride over to Downtown Disney is nice. Better than a bus or driving.

Touring the resorts is nice too. Animal Kingdom Lodge is worth the visit. Pretty much take a bus to a park and then take the bus from the park to the resort. The Monorail resorts are nice to visit. Get a Dole Whip at the Poly...

We like renting boats and Surrey bikes. You can rent the bikes at POR!

Hop on the buses and go check out the other resorts. We always stay at Port Orleans too and lots of times we just get on the boat and take it to downtown Disney and back. Very relaxing ride! We also take time (maybe 15 minutes) to walk over to Port Orleans French Quarter for a midday snack of beignets. They are so yummy!!

On our down days we like to resort hop. .... or .... From Riverside you can take a short walk over to the FQ, the trail along the river is very nice. The boat to Disney Springs is fun plus while there you can eat and shop till you're exhausted. You can swim, fish, boat, carriage ride, bike or play in the arcade. You will not have a lack of things to do and not even leaving the resort.

1. At The Contemporary Resort, you can choose from several different water sports: water skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, etc...

2. Take a day trip Kennedy Space Center, a bit over an hour away in Port Canaveral.

3. Stroll around the Boardwalk and watch the free evening entertainment: magicians, musicians, jugglers...

4. Surfing Lessons: At Typhoon Lagoon, guests 8 and up can learn to surf in the gigantic wave pool. Surf lessons are offered on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, early in the morning before the park opens

5. Play tennis. Courts are available at Saratoga Springs, Yacht Club, Fort Wilderness, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk, and Old Key West

6. Go for a walk: There are fantastic walkways or nature trails around almost all of the resorts

7. Check out the animals at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

8. Use Disney transportation and explore all the resorts you have yet to stay at.

9. Do high tea at Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian - you might even get to see a proposal while you are there.

10. Get an archery lesson at Fort Wilderness.
