I am wondering if the Memory Maker is the same thing as Photo Pass? Is there a list of Dining places that pictures are included? On our last visit we purchased the photo pass and our pictures at Donald" s breakfast and Chef Mickey's were just handed to us. Are they still included?
Thanks for your assistance!:mickey:
Memory Maker is the "new" version of Photopass. It includes pictures taken on rides and some meals. There have been recent changes related to pictures taken at meals - I know they have eliminated taking pictures at some of the restaurants.
More information here.

The actual printed pictures are no longer included, but the digital photos are a part of the Memory Maker download.
Same with the attraction photos, only the digital images are included, not the physical print outs.
You can still add the borders, signatures and stickers to each picture (and I found the selection to be better than in the past).

Regular old photopass is still available.
Memory maker is a separate product you can purchase.
But old Photopass (find photog in front of castle, take picture, scan card/band, view picture at home to edit and purchase) is still available.

This is true for buy as you go. However, there was an old photopass option which closely resembles the new Memory Maker in which you paid one flat price for all the photopass pictures that were taken during your stay. These pictures could be edited with borders etc and, when you finished, Disney mailed you a CD which contained all your pictures. Memory Maker now requires at least a 3 day advance purchase and does not include the CD (A CD is still available for an additional cost).

I am reading a lot of people are having photos missing using the Memory Maker. I have never had that problem with the old photo pass cards. So now I am worried about purchasing the Memory Maker. I don't have a problem carrying around the card.
Not sure which to decide on....

Yes, I have also read about people missing photos while using memory maker.
I do not believe I have read reports of people missing photos from Photopass though.
Remember, they are not the same!
As pointed out, memory maker did take the place of the pre-purchase photopass CD that used to be available.
However, regular old photopass is still available.
Thanks for all your responses, but now I am not even sure it is worth spending the money. I liked getting the pictures at the meals just handed to me. IF I purchase either the Photo Pass or Memory Maker I will have to pay for that service as well as each picture. I don't think it's worth it.

If you purchase the MM product, you do not pay for each picture. They are included. But yes, if you want to print out the picture at your local Walmart, you will need to pay whatever they charge (significantly less than purchasing from Disney).
As far as photopass goes, there is no charge for the service. You can purchase each photo individually from Disney.
Exactly! There is no charge for getting pictures taken. They are free.
Once the pictures are taken, if you've purchased Memory Maker, you can download all of the pictures for one price, the price of the Memory Maker.
If you don't purchase Memory Maker, you can choose to download individual pictures (at varying costs).

We always used to do the old version of photopass where you would pay for the CD in advance and get all the photopass pictures on it for that price. For our trip last week we did the Memory Maker Purchase in advance and as others have stated it's very similar to the old Photopass that you would purchase in advance. I do like the improvements that all ride pictures are put on it automatically, and I was surprised to find there were even a couple of videos of us on rides like Tower of Terror and 7DMT. I did find it a bit confusing when I was looking for my pictures as they were not all together, but grouped under the various locations such as Magic Kingdom, Resorts, etc. I'm pretty happy with what we got with the Magic Maker especially since we like ride pictures and we got multiple poses at Chef Mickey's.

You used to pre-purchase tge Photoass CD PRODUCT.
That, as you know, has been replaced by the Memory Maker PRODUCT.
Those two products were/are different from the Photopass SERVICE.
