Does this sound correct to you? We just booked our next trip for January 2020 and I went on line to purchase park tickets for January 2020 and was told they will not be available until the end of December for January 2020? How then do I pick my fast pass selection 60 days out without having any park tickets purchased?

That really makes no sense. You're right - without passes purchased and linked in your MDE account, you cannot get fast passes. I know we purchased 2 park passes months ago for 5 or 6 days in mid-January, 2020, so there must be some glitch in what you tried to do today. You should keep trying - perhaps a call to customer service, if it comes to that. Good luck!
