I haven't had to plan a trip since 2010, due to the fact that we lived 10 minutes away from the parks from for a couple years. We're back to being 1100 miles away and haven't been in the parks for 2 years :sob:. We haven't been since Fastpass+ started and we will likely be staying offsite. Is there a difference on how to use it when staying offsite?
I feel like a noob that needs to learn how to plan again. Hopefully, we will be going back next November.

The only difference with on and off-site usage is WHEN you can make your FP+ reservations.

If you're on-site, then you can start making them 60 days before your check-in date (and the window opens at midnight).

For off-site stays, that start date is at 30 days.

With the exception of the 2-3 most popular attractions (Anna & Elsa meet & greet, 7DMT, possibly Wishes) you should still be able to get FP+ for everything you want at 30 days out. You're choices of times may be more limited, but you should still be able to get what you want.

In both situations, you have to have valid park tickets attached to you MDE account before you can make FP+ reservations.

LOL - I posted before I saw this - I'm in exactly the same boat! I was feeling like a bit of an expert, but it's been a few years and now I feel like I don't have a clue! Between the fastpass plus, and the fact that prices seem to have gone WAY up, it's a whole new world.
