We just booked a trip for April. We will fly into Jacksonville to spend time with family and then drive to St. Augustine for two days. We then drive to Orlando and We will be staying at BW for 5 days and apparently, there is a car rental dropnoff right at Swan/Dolphin which is really convenient! Am I correct that only Alamo rentals are able to be returned at Disney?

Alamo and National (they're sister companies) are both at the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom. Alamo is at the Dolphin, but I don't know if National is there as well. The other rental companies all have pickup/drop off locations at the nearby hotels - most of which at the hotels in the Disney Springs area. Most, if not all of those, will pick you up and/or take you back to your resort. So you aren't really locked into using just Alamo.
That said, Alamo is my preferred rental company.

I had a great experience with Alamo at the Dolphin a few years back. Extremely convenient. The car gets brought to the entrance like valet and then we returned it at the airport.
Alamo is also my preferred rental company. They are consistently fast at their rental desk, polite, and no hidden fees. I've had terrible experiences in the past with Avis and Budget: long lines, slow service, rudeness about my refusal to take their insurance, incorrect fees, and even an employee who insisted she had no manager, that there was no customer service phone number for their company, and that they had no customer records. In the last instance, thankfully I had booked through Costco so I received a refund later when Costco rectified the situation.
