Strangely, I think March is the only month of the year I have never visited Disney World.

From Intercot's Info Central:

MONTH MARCH
TEMPERATURE (AVERAGE) - HIGH: 78ºf / 26ºc
TEMPERATURE (AVERAGE) - LOW : 55ºf / 13ºc
RAINFALL (AVERAGE) - IN INCHES: 3.2
COMMENT ABOUT THE MONTH: Crowds high during Spring Break and considerably higher when Easter falls in March.

Since Easter falls in March this year, you can expect high crowds if you are going to be there anytime around the 27th.

Other weeks vary - depending on which schools are on break and how many folks are heading to Disney during the break.

We have been in March for Spring Break a couple times. Weather was beautiful and only one day required a sweatshirt due to cool weather and winds. Didnt have any rain and it was really nice. Kids were in the pool and it was good to enjoy the parks without the HOT heat.

As for crowds, expect it to be crowded. Magic Kingdom closed for capacity one day. It was very busy but manageable if you know what to expect. Fastpasses are a must. Wait times for major attractions will be high.

We really like visiting this time of the year and this will be the first year in a long time we will not be there. Hope you have a great time.

To echo the above post, weather is beautiful.

Crowds are high but the parks stay open very late and they add additional show times and entertainment.

I'd go again. Only drawback is the increased cost.

March is our typical month to go to WDW. In short, weather is typically great, crowds are typically awful.

The weather gets better the later you go in the month. In early to mid March, you can get a cold wave coming in. We've been there when it is as low as 40 in the morning, and only 65 or so for the high. This is unusual, but it has happened a few times. Typically we enjoy mid to upper 70s and little or no rain.

Crowds get worse later in the month. If you are going mid-March, they are very manageable. It is important to hit rope drop as often as you can. You will be amazed how many rides you can enjoy with little or no wait the first 90 minutes.

And about 40 more in between....

March should be great weather. It really depends because Florida has what I call plummet weather in the "colder" months, where you can have a 57 degree day and it be 73 degrees the next day. However, that usually doesn't affect March as much as January or February. The pools at WDW are heated, I've been in them in 55 degree weather, and the hot tub is amazing.

March shouldn't be as bad with crowds but because of Easter, it might be. Use a touring plan and you will be more than fine.

......our very first visit to WDW was in 2004 ....during spring break.

......and had I not had the opportunity to go back to WDW in the fall that year ...and see the difference in crowd level (lower)....

.....our first visit would have definitely been our last. The crowds were THAT bad in the spring......

Crowds are usually heavy. Weather is usually nice, but can be cold. I have been to Disney on March 23 (I only remember the date because we went for my birthday that year), when the temperature was in the 30's.

Also keep in mind that a lot of the guest are college kids, so the crowds in the morning tend to be light.

Thanks everyone. It is harder to try and pack for unpredictable weather.
