We are returning home to WDW, staying at Poly in February, and we could not be more excited! This is the first time that we will be surprising our boys - ages 5(almost 6) and 3. We are flying out at 6am the morning after the Super Bowl - yikes!! Our plan is to wrap the MagicBands box and have the kids unwrap it in the car to the airport. Do you have any other ideas?? TIA!

On Christmas morning we had a huge poster board in front of Christmas tree and said the first gift was a treasure hunt. Each of the kids had a envelope with a clue to go around the entire property inside and out finding the clues that all ended up at the oven. When they opened the oven the balloons came out that we packed in there and their magic bands were individually wrapped. With an note telling them about the trip for Christmas we are finally leaving in 3 days. Yes I in plugged the oven on Christmas eve!

A friend of mine surprised his kids with a Disney vacation once. He told the kids that they were spending a week at a beach house on the Atlantic cost (most years they spent a week at a Gulf coast beach). The kids did not figure out they were going to Disney until my friend took the I-4 exit from the Florida Turnpike.

So fun!!! I surprised kids (teens) AND hubby with a Disney LAND vacation once. I'm a teacher and kind of a nerd and there is a website called "Kahoot" where anyone can make up fun interactive quizzes - everyone sees the question on the tv screen and picks the answer on their phone. You can include pictures and video clips, so I went all out. It's a competition. I told them it was something I made up and wanted to try out to see if it was a good idea to try with my students. They were actually getting super annoyed that all the questions for for DLR, where they had never been. Then the last question is "where will you be on such and such a date" and they all picked "A" - probably camping; and then the correct answer flashed up on the screen. It was PRICELESS for all three of them, but my favourite was hubby...he looked like a little boy he was so excited!

We decided to surprise them that day. We have to leave for the airport around 4:30-5am, so they won’t know what’s going on right away. We will wrap the magic bands box and let them unwrap it as they start to figure it out. I won’t tell them where we’re staying until they figure that out either. My oldest is Disney crazy! So, he will love any surprise related to this. I can’t wait to see his reaction! Thank you everyone for your great ideas!!
