Just checking out MDE app and noticed changes to the tier system for fast pass +. Looks like a single tier for all attractions at MK & AK, and some substantial changes to the categories at Epcot, and Studios. Also, Wishes seating in the new grassy areas is now first come first served.
We were there in late December, and I was surprised to see these changes.

huh. I was in it yesterday making all of our resizes and I didn't notice any changes...I'll have to look again this morning in case I want to change something. MK and AK have been single tier. Only DHS and EPCOT had tiers.

I checked and didn't notice any major changes. As Landfan mentioned AK & MK have always had only 1 tier. If you saw two tiers in December maybe it was something special they put in place for the holidays?
Epcot and DHS have tinkered with the tiers from time to time. I know at one point Living with the Land was not a Tier 1. I think DHS has added a few things to their Tier 1 too. My guess would be that there were not enough Tier 1 choices in those two parks especially in Epcot where Soarin is currently in refurb.
