Hello: I have a iPhone with verizon services and I read somewhere special Disney apps that are used in the park only use verizon services like to track waiting times. Is that correct? I was going to try to save money and drop down to a smart talk phone. Thanks. John

The original Disney app a few years back was only for Verizon iPhone customers. The MDE app that is now used works for all iPhone and android users.

Everything worked great on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 (Android) back in May.

Just loaded the new Disneyland app to get ready for my trip there in December.

(Just purchased [outright] an LG G4 (Android), also for AT&T, but haven't taken the time to set it up yet....)

And for those of us with windows phones (lumia 1020 here) - the Disney Expedition app does the same thing - park hours, wait times, fastpass+ scheduling etc - all drawn from the Disney system.

If you mean Straight Talk - I have it for my family. You can get a Quad Core Lumia 635 Windows Phone off contract, brand new for $39 (yes, that's the price!) on Amazon that works on Straight Talk's AT&T LTE bands. Then you do their bring your own sim plan. It's $45 bucks a month.

Actually you can use any AT&T smartphone - but we love the Lumia's because of the price and for me - because of the 45 megapixel cam on the Lumia 1020...

If you do go that route, I can send you the programming instructions ;)
