Entrance Fees at National Parks Go Up

Entrance fees at most National Parks went up on June 1. Yellowstone and Grand Tetons had big increases. In the past it cost $25 per passenger vehicle for a one week pass, which included both Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Now each park is $30, but there is a combo pass for both parks at $50.

If you are planning to hit multiple parks in one year, you may look into the America the Beautiful Pass at $80. This pass is good, not only at National Parks, but also Forest Service, and BLM areas and has some camping discount bonuses.
This pass cannot be used at Mount Rushmore, since that is technically free to see, but you pay for parking.

Enjoy your National Parks.

Good information! Just an aside, active duty military can get a pass offering free admission. A wonderful perk!

Now these are price increases that I don't mind. Not only are they very minimal but the parks are worth every penny. They are amazing and everyone I have ever dealt with that is working in the parks have been very helpful.

Thanks for the info!

I agree that they are worth it... but that is a pretty substantial increase! Thanks for the info.

Another reason I'm glad to be old, I have a forever Golden Eagle Pass. I think it may have run $10.
