Help! I am looking for vacation ideas other than Disney. We have gone to Disney the last 3 years, and I agreed to go somewhere else this year (in preparation for returning in 2017/2018 when all the new Star Wars/Pixarland/Avatarland stuff opens!).
Where are other places to go with young kids? I know these places exist, I just would rather be at Disney :mickey:
Thanks!

Disney Cruise. Perfect way to get a Disney fix without dealing with the hassles involved in a park visit.
OR, come to Disneyland! There is a TON to see and do in Southern CA. It's a VERY family friendly destination.

Washington DC. Kids like the smithsonian museums. You can also take a couple of days before or after and visit Busch Gardens or other sites in Williamsburg.
Go to the Beach. Panama City, Destin, there are plenty to pick from.
Gatlinburg, TN and the Smokies. Tons of stuff to do there including Dollywood. and the Biltmore Estate is just a scenic drive away.
Instead of Disney World, visit some of the other attractions in Orlando and central Florida. Sometimes we go and hit Sea World, maybe Busch Gardens in Tampa and one day pick a beach off the East coast or Gulf coast and go visit. There are a number of them within an hour and a half or less drive.
For a long weekend, there is Mammoth Cave and you can check out the National Corvette Museum if you are into that sort of thing. I spent hours in the Corvette Museum. lol You could add on to this trip and turn it into a week long road trip. Maybe hit up St. Louis and the the Gateway Arch or drop down to Nashville. A little more driving but there is quite a bit to do in Atlanta around Centennial Park and also there is the Fernbank Museum.
Savannah, GA. There is a lot to see and do around there and Tybee Island and Hilton Head are close by.
We have cut way back on our WDW trips and have been visiting other places recently. We really enjoyed the DC/Williamsburg/Virgina Beach trip we took a couple years ago.
