The trip was 10 days and 3,700 miles long. The weather was great with no rain and temperatures from the low 30's to mid 80's. The wildlife was in short supply, but some of the encounters were up close and personal. The people were not in short supply, the crowds were very large. As usual, they did not venture far off the beaten track. The wildflowers were also in abundance.
We were based out of the gateway town of West Yellowstone as it is the most centrally located. You must reserve lodging inside the park very early.
I would recommend this trip to everyone, with late spring or early fall the times to go.

Here are the photos

Loved your pictures. I have so many of the same ones from our trip two years ago. I wish everyone would venture out to our national parks because they are amazing.

great pictures, we also took this trip this year. Left Central Mo. last week in May spent 3 nights at Hill City SD and did the Mount Rushmore area, lots to see and do in that area, then on to Yellowstone. We went a little early to see all the beautiful flowers that you saw, and the crowds were really not bad at that time, some of the roads had just opened up due to snow, but the roads were all clear even tho lots of snow in the mountains. It was one of our best trips, glad you had a great time.
