I agree. Saw it today and really liked the movie. Thought it definitely had replayability qualities.

I saw it yesterday and I honestly enjoyed the short "Lava" more than the movie.

The animation was very good and the actors doing the voices were very good. I enjoyed the movie but didn't feel as excited as some Disney/
Pixar films. I would not rush back to see it. At the end some of the other viewers clapped and I heard some middle school age girls talking about which characters they liked, so I think it is going to be a big hit.

Saw the movie today. Another good Pixar movie. I missed seeing the Pizza Planet truck in this movie. Found the 1313! Well, I thought I found an Easter egg. it's A113 not 1313 that your looking for.

They said the truck is there 3 times. I missed it as well!

Saw it yesterday and we all loved it. It was so clever and creative and visually interesting as well. There were tons of Easter eggs. My favorite was the Haunted Mansion one.

Drove Sunday to our closest 3D movie theater (about 30 mins) only to realize I'd left my wallet at home...drove home. Will try again this week!

We saw it in 3D over the weekend, and loved it. It really was a great story with a lot of heart. I think we'll probably go see it one more time while it's in the theaters.

It's not my favorite Pixar movie, but it was very good. I do think that Disney probably released too many of the funniest parts in previews, but they wanted to build a lot of hype for it, so I get that.

The whole family loved it! It was very sweet and entertaining. We have a 9 year old girl and an 8 year old boy so a lot of the storyline about change, growing up, leaving childhood behind, etc. really hit home. There were a lot of laughs though! Not sure this was my favorite Pixar (UP still holds that spot) or the best Pixar (Toy Sotry 3 holds that spot for me) but it's up there!

I went to see it on Friday. I really enjoyed it. Great movie. When I got home, I pored over the reviews. One reviewer called it a "masterpiece", and I tend to agree. I was a little late due to traffic, so I was only able to catch the last minute or so of "Lava". I can't wait to go again so that I can further immerse myself in the world of "Inside Out" (and, hopefully, find all the Pixar easter eggs scattered throughout), and see "Lava" in it's entirety. Hmmmmm...it's going to rain tomorrow....movie day alert!

Nice work, pal.

Snuck off this morning (don't tell the boss) and saw a 10:45 showing. I thought it was very good. Maybe not quite as good as everyone else is saying but it was well done and kind of "deep". The little girl in front of me (maybe 9?) at the end said, Mommy there was a lot of sadness.

I did love love the Lava short and I enjoyed seeing so many previews (I'm a sucker for those) I didn't know there was another Pixar movie before the end of the year! Yippee!

I can see how kids would interpret a lot of the movie as "sad" but I thought it was brilliant how they showed how important that emotion is, and how it should not be suppressed.

I agree Natalie but I wonder if some of the interpretation is based on how people look at emotions in general. My husband (who prefers to hide a bit from tough emotions) thought it was sad. I however felt like you did.

Another wonderful, smart, incredibly well-done film from Pixar. It really hit home with me, as someone who had a few rough years as a preteen/teen, and now having a daughter myself. I think it really did a fantastic job of illustrating the brain in both a kid-friendly and adult way. As an SAT tutor, one of the words on our vocabulary list is "nostalgia" and I sometimes have difficulty getting the kids to understand it since many of them haven't gone through that transition in life yet, but that's what it made me think of when the memories were tinged with blue and gold and some of the other colors as well at the end. It's a happy memory that's colored with a bit of sadness because you can't relive it. I also liked how it illustrated the collapse of the islands and Riley slipped into a depression, but showed that ultimately you can rebuild everything again and you can't give up ("it gets better"). I will definitely see this again, but probably not in theaters. My husband and I snuck out for a bit without the baby and of course a tornado warning occurred just as the movie started, so we were distracted for parts of it checking in with my mother in law and making sure all was well. It added a lot more to the emotional impact of the movie for me.
