HPNOTIQ Purple Haze Martini
Drink Type: Martini
Ingredients

1 oz. Hpnotiq
1/2 oz. Pomegranate Juice
1/2 oz. Orange Juice

Instructions
Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange rind or apple slice.

The ladies would probably like it ok for one maybe two drinks. Hpnotiq is pretty fruity already and the taste gets overbearing fairly quickly so people are going to drink very much. They guys probably won't hardly touch it because it will be so fruity. We bought a bottle of Hpnotiq once years ago and finally after multiple parties we threw it away. Nobody liked it much and it would just sit there untouched. The main liquor in it is vodka so you are really just making a super fruity vodka drink more or less. It also has Cognac in it which gives it that sort of weird taste that most people don't particularly like.

The blue is Malibu blue according to David's Bridal. The other color is a darker purple. Kind've like David's Bridal's plum.

Well, that makes single liquor drinks a bit tougher.

anything with UV Blue Raspberry Vodka should work if she wants to stick with colors. I would try Lemonade and UV Blue Raspberry Vodka to see how it was. or Sierra Mist and UV Blue Raspberry Vodka.

We did Sierra Mist and Watermelon vodka with a splash of cranberry juice for my sons wedding (he is a huge watermelon fan). We ran out of these first.

The other drink was Bacardi Limon and an orange drink that I cannot think of the name right now over crushed ice. This was a huge hit with the guys since it tasted like the orange Hi-C they drank at school as kids

Those are excellent suggestions. Using the blue raspberry vodka in sprite, 7up, or sierra mist would be a pretty good all around drink that would appeal to most. The carbonation in the soda along with the little bit of sweetness is a good combination that will make the drink pop. Now I want to make one and try it out. lol

These are the drinks that the venue randomly picked for her. Any thoughts? Some of the other ones you guys said sounded a lot tastier to me.

1. Moscow Mule you will need to bring lime juice, ginger beer, and vodka WTR will provide lime slices

2. Sea Breeze WTR will provide Grapefruit Juice, Cranberry Juice, and Lime slices for this drink You will bring the vodka

3. Apple Pie Punch WTR will provide ginger ale You will bring Apple Cider Pear Nectar Apple Slices, and Vodka for this drink

4 Refreshing Pear Drink You will provide Pear Vodka Pear Juice. WTR will provide Peach or Pear Sparkling water whatever is available.

I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I thought they were providing 2 hard liquors and the drinks needed to be made from one of those but these recipes each have you providing the vodka/flavored vodka (along with other ingredients), I'm confused

I'll be an easy guest, nothing fancy, I'll have vodka with ice cubes please

We have to provide the alcohol, but we can only bring two hard liquors and the drinks need to be made from those. My daughter says she doesn't like those, but I think what she really doesn't like is them telling her what to do.

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update and tell you that you all are amazing.
It was decided that the Sleeping Beauty would not be used (thanks for the heads up that it wouldn't be good for most people).
The Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule will be used and the Sprite with UV Blue Raspberry Vodka.
Phew! So glad that is over with.

Glad you were able to come to an agreement on the drinks. The more I hear about wedding planning these days, the happier I am to be the parent of a boy. Everything is so complicated and expensive! Kind of like planning a trip to WDW, lol!

This is my third wedding to plan in a year's time, and the other two were rather easy. I wouldn't call my daughter a Bridezilla, but she definitely likes things her way. (I wonder where she gets that? :P)

Don't be so sure that being the parent of the groom frees you from anything. My two boys and their wives expected me to do most of the planning for their weddings. My family has planned so many weddings, we could probably do it in our sleep.

Oh Beth, I too thought I would "wear beige, open my wallet and shut my mouth" being the mom of 2 boys. THAT did not come to fruition! My son's bride was from Beijing, her parents were coming over and I had 6 weeks to plan a wedding.

That is when you thank the good Lord for sisters and good friends.

Glad the Sprite and UV Blue Raspberry Vodka worked!
