Do you host or attend a Super Bowl party? Any special themes or traditions?
Our family has been hosting a Super Bowl party every year since 1988. My DH and BIL were raised in Hawaii so our potluck has the Island theme. We have things such as teriyaki chicken, miso chicken, kalbi, fried shrimp, rice, mac salad, kimchi, lo mein, poke, musubi, gau gee, sushi, and so on. And for added fun we have a football pool with a winner every quarter. Oh! – and we watch the game.

Come On Everybody - Here We Go!!
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. ...”
We have hosted parties in the past when our teams, the Ravens and the then-Baltimore Colts (don't get me started!), were in the game. We usually kept it fairly simple with finger foods, snacks, and plenty of adult beverages. This year we'll watch, but no real party.

Welcome to the INTERCOT forums !
I'm really up in the air this year. Living in Atlanta everyone is very excited about the game. But I usually pull for the Packers with the Falcons as a back up. I'm actually leaning towards NOT having a party because then I can't pay attention to the game (and commercials) and usually end up doing lots of extra work.

A group of us has gotten together every year dating back well over a decade. For the past 7 years DH and I have hosted, but it looks like this year is a no-go. Everyone is being pulled in different directions. People have moved, babies have been born, and also our purse strings are tight right now and we usually go all out for our parties: Multiple kinds of ribs, wings, hoagies, chips, dip, and beer of course.
Hopefully in future years we can re-start this tradition.

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me.
And so yesterday we bought a new giant tv, so guess who is having a party now?
