Wheelchair rentals at Walt Disney World are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rented wheelchairs cannot be taken from park to park. However, guests visiting more than one park on the same day can save their wheelchair deposit ticket from the first location they visit. This will allow them access to another wheelchair on the same day, if available, at another park without an additional fee.
Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV “scooters”) can also be rented on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests should arrive early, as a limited number are available and no reservations are accepted. Renters must be at least 18 years of age to rent an Electric Convenience Vehicle.
Rental locations are at the front entrance of each of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks:
- Magic Kingdom: in the stroller shop at the main entrance to the park
- EPCOT: rentals & replacements are available at the main entrance and the International Gateway
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: at the main entrance at Oscars Super Service gas station shop
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: at Garden Gate Gifts inside the park’s entrance
- Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach: ask at Guest Relations near the water park entrances
A number of third-party wheelchair and ECV rental companies are available in the area around Walt Disney World. Many of these companies will deliver your wheelchair or ECV direct to your resort so you can use it throughout your entire vacation – not just while at the parks. Often, these rental companies are significantly less expensive then renting daily from Disney.
