Getting around Disney World is easy – and if you’re ever not sure of how to get somewhere, any cast member can help!  But here are a few of the more popular ways to hop from park to park, or from your resort to anywhere on property!

Be sure to check out our Resorts pages for more specific directions on how to travel from your hotel to other parts of Walt Disney World.

🚡The Skyliner Gondola System:

  • Disney’s newest transportation system, high in the sky!
  • With stops at Pop Century/Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Epcot’s International Gateway Entrance, and Hollywood Studios.

🚝 Disney’s Monorail System:

  • There are 3 monorail lines to choose from.
  • The Express: runs back and forth from the Transportation & Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom.
  • The Resort Monorail: runs a loop between The Contemporary Resort, the Ticket & Transportation Center, The Polynesion Resort, The Grand Floridian Resort and the Magic Kingdom.
  • The EPCOT Monorail: runs back and forth from the Transportation & Ticket Center to EPCOT.

🚢 Disney’s Boat System:

  • There are a number of ferries and watercraft to get you from place to place.
  • The Magic Kingdom Ferry: an alternative to taking the Monorail from the Transportation & Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom.
  • Water Taxis: travel from (and between) the Magic Kingdom and its nearby resorts: Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, The Contemporary Resort, The Polynesian & The Grand Floridian Resort.
  • Friendship Boats: travel from (and between) EPCOT’s International Gateway Entrance, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Boardwalk Inn, The Beach Club, The Yacht Club, The Swan & Dolphin Hotels.
  • Sassagoula River Cruises:  travel from (and between) Disney Springs and Old Key West Resort, Saratoga Springs Resort, Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside.

🚌 Disney’s Bus System:

  • Pretty much everywhere else you need to go can be accessed by Disney’s bus system.
  • For travel between resorts (that aren’t accessible by monorail or boat), you may need to travel to a theme park or Disney Springs and transfer to a bus that will lead you to your final resort destination.
  • Many resort bus stops have televisions displaying when the next bus to your destination will be arriving.

When in doubt, just ask!
