I have requested and hope to have connecting rooms at all star sports.
we have two different confirmation numbers and they are linked on mydisney.
Will our bracelet keys allow us to go in either room?

Don't know for a fact, but I highly doubt it. The old key cards did not allow you access to more than one room - doubtful the bands will.

I agreed we have had connecting rooms, and they advised to keep the door open between the rooms if we needed to access the one that our room key wouldn't open.

No. Your magic band will only work with your room. You can, however, request a key card for that separate room. We've done that. My mom travels with us sometimes and even though my oldest son is on our reservation he sleeps in her room so he can have his own bed. So his magic band is linked to our room but we asked at the front desk and they were able to give him a card for the other room.
