Has anyone been to CBR recently and if so can you tell me if the renovations were really disruptive? I love this resort and have been countless times however we would change our reservation if the renovations are a problem. We will be visiting for a few days over the christmas holidays! One person in our party will be experiencing disney for the first time and it's a short trip so I want it to be special! (Even though iam terrified of the crowd levels I know we will face)

Caribbean beach...were jammin'
We just left a couple of days ago. We were in building 16 (Barbados) and it appeared completed. Our rooms were completely renovated. We stayed in 1604 and 1603 with a connecting door. 1603 had the murphy bed on the wall to sleep a 5th person (child).

We just returned this past Friday after a week long stay. We were in Jamaica Building 43. We had no disruption from the renovations going on. You would never know they were doing them.
Our room was wonderful. We had the murphy bed which we didn't use but would be nice for a family of 5. I loved the new decor and the queen beds were fantastic.
They were just starting to decorate the resorts for Christmas.
I would not hesitat to stay there!

We just got back Sunday from a 10 day trip and we got "upgraded" to a pirate room in Trinidad South. I didn't even notice the renovations except for one bus trip I saw the crates in the parking lot. A big plus for me on this trip was all the other buses seemed to have long lines and ours was never that full. By this I mean we never had to wait for a second bus to come and never felt over crowded even when standing. I don't think this resort deserves the negative attention it seems to get. I would stay there again.
Side note- if you send merch back to the hotel always double check to make sure it is actually yours when you pick it up. We had a big mix up when I went to get my package. :mickey:
What renovations were made? Is anything different? Did all areas get an upgrade?
