If you are visiting Walt Disney World in June be sure to spend at least one relaxing evening at the Fort Wilderness campfire and Sing-a-Long. Enjoy a visit with our nutty friends, Chip & Dale, and a Disney movie under the stars. There will be a real campfire where you can roast marshmallows or smores (bring your own or purchase kits from the chuck wagon). Fire lighting is at 7:30 pm nightly, Sing-a-Long starts at 8:00, and the evening movie starts at about 8:40. Here are your movies for June:

June 1 Pocahontas
June 2 The Princess Diaries
June 3 The Great Mouse Detective
June 4 Brave (PG)
June 5 101 Dalmatians
June 6 Cars
June 7 Cinderella

Thanks Ron. Will be there June 13-20. One of my pre-trip traditions is checking this thread the first of the month.

I remember going to the Fort for our annual vacation when I was a kid. One of the first things we would do was head to the comfort station to check the movie schedule, then either take a ride on the train or tram while mom and dad setup camp.

First Trip ¨¨*:•
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground - June, 1974

Last Trip ¨¨*:•
Port Orleans/Saratoga Springs - March, 2017

Next Trip ¨¨*:•
Bay Lake Tower - March, 2018

And about 40 more in between....

For those of you wondering what the heck AJ is talking about - yes, long before the Disney buses ran through the campground, there were trains with steam powered locomotives being used to get campers from one end of the campground to another. If you look carefully you can still see places where there were trestles and elevated roadway for the tracks. And that's why Settlement Depot and Outpost Depot are named that way. They were once railroad depots.

And for a while trams were used to get people around the campground. They were similar to the trams used today in the Disney parking lots.
