Disney Parks and Resorts has announced a Magic Kingdom Meet & Greet for the lead character of a forthcoming Disney Channel show:
... This August guests at Walt Disney World Resort and will be able to see Princess Elena, Disney’s first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures.
La princesa Elena will debut in the Disney Channel series “Elena of Avalor” this summer. A teenager in fairytale kingdom, Elena adds a new dimension to the Disney-princess world.
Elena will appear this summer in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort....

On August 11th, Magic Kingdom Park will welcome Elena, crown princess of Avalor, in a special ceremony taking place on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage. Beginning August 12, the royal welcome for Elena of Avalor will be presented several times daily at the park.Cinderella and Prince Charming appear on the stage of the castle, dándole la bienvenida (giving a welcome) to everyone to this magical kingdom and introducing their special guest from Avalor. Princess Elena arrives accompanied by a troupe of regal banner carriers and musicians and when asked to share her historia, Elena picks up a guitarra and joins her musicians in a performance of the song “My Time,” recounting her magical adventures and triumphant return to Avalor.

I saw the show online yesterday. I believe it was live from Disney. I think it is cool, but I am surprised she is not at Hollywood studios since she is a Disney Jr. Character. Does anyone know where in Magic Kingdom her meet and greet will be? We will be there in 2 weeks. Baby Bear LOVES her.

Disney Parks & Resorts has announced a start date for the Elena of Avalor Meet & Greet in Magic Kingdom:

Beginning November 24, Princess Elena of Avalor – the first Disney princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures – will begin to greet guests alongside other royal friends at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom Park. At Princess Fairytale Hall, guests can choose between a meeting with Elena and Cinderella or a visit with Rapunzel and Tiana. FastPass+ reservations for dates that include Elena appearances will become available today, October 14.
Princess Elena of Avalor first made her grand debut at Magic Kingdom Park back in August, with Cinderella officially welcoming her to the kingdom in “The Princess Elena Royal Welcome” show. You can continue to experience this show throughout the fall.

Elena is not part of the disney princess royal court (the offical disney princess lineup) the last princess to be added to the royal court was merida from brave. Elenas royal welcome is just that a royal welcome as a princess not a ceramony into the disney princess royal court.
No hate for princess elena, just stating a fact.
I'm glad she's doing a meet and greet, because my granddaughters love her. They're half Mexican (my daughter-in-law is from Mexico) and really "relate" to the Hispanic princess. Great news!
