If all goes well, we are going to plan a Christmas trip to Disneyland (1st time) this year. Does anyone know when the Christmas decorations are put up (would like to go early).

A good rule of thumb is that they begin going up around the first weekend in November. By mid November parades, fireworks, and World of Color should be holiday oriented.
