I'm going to DL in July, and have a reservation at the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort area - anyone have any experience there, and if not, any recommendations as to a different hotel and why?

I'm excited, last time I was there was in 2009 when they were still installing WoC.

Eh, find somewhere else. It is not close to the park entrance at all and in kind of a sketchy area.

Recommend Fairfield Inn, Best Western Park Place Inn, Howard Johnson, Candy Cane Inn, or the new Courtyard Marriott opening this summer, all right across the street on Harbor Blvd.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites. It is a new hotel about a 8 minute walk. It is on the back side of the Disneyland parking garage.

I would also say stay at the Howard Johnson's. We were amazed at how large our room was and it was an easy walk to the park. Mimi's cafe, a family favorite, is a very easy walk.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have switched to the Howard Johnson's.

Can't wait to go in August!
