Hi Everyone,
I'm in the very beginning stages of vacation planning and someone told me about buying points for vacations stays at the Vacation Club Resorts. Has anyone done this? Anyone place that you would recommend using? What Resort is the best value? Any information would be helpful.

We just rented points and I found the process quite easy. The resorts have different points so it's up to you what you prefer. You can search dvc rentals and most sites have a cost calculator. One suggestion is to know where you want to stay and when you are going as the rooms/resorts can be limited. If you prefer one resort to another, DVC owners can reserve 11 months in advance for their home resort and 7 months out for others. If you find a site, you'll have to fill out a request form and they'll get back to you with what resorts are available. If you want to know who I used, I'll PM you. I will say that it does save quite a bit of money.

You could also post on Facebook and see if any of your friends own points and want to rent. That's how I started renting out points and it is nice to deal with people you know.
