This is from the Orlando Sentinel

Club 33, a legendary private lounge at Disneyland, is coming to Walt Disney World, a company spokeswoman confirmed Thursday.

Wait, make that 33 times four.

Versions of Club 33 will be installed each Disney World theme park — Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom — this fall, the spokeswoman said.

There are no further details from Disney about the establishments, including their exact locations in the parks or the cost to join the “limited membership” club.

The original Club 33 opened at Disneyland park in 1967. The company says that Walt Disney drew inspiration from the executive lounges at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. There were corporate and individual memberships.

Various sources list membership fees for Disneyland’s Club 33 in the thousands of dollars per year. Last year, the Los Angeles Times reported that the club's annual dues were “said to be $12,000 a year,” which entitles members to park admission, exclusive benefits and access to the only alcohol regularly served at Disneyland. Travel + Leisure magazine says that’s on top of a $25,000 entrance fee.

There are also Club 33 locations at Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland, which opened last summer.

Is anyone surprised given the push for more revenue? I think one in each of the 4 parks is a bit much. If you wanted to put one in the Magic Kingdom it kind of makes sense in a historical way.

It will be interesting to see what the fees are for membership. Can't imagine they will be as high as they are in California, especially as they will four locations. But hey, we're talking about Disney here so who knows? ;)

Want to bet? ;)

And does one membership get you into all four, or just the one you joined?

All four parks seems like overkill. It doesn't seem as "special" for it to be in all four parks. Plus if they come with 4 times the price tag, that's totally insane. Who are these people that can afford to drop that kind of money? I wanna be their new best friend.

Nope. Memberships will be exclusive to the location joined. No cross use of membership.

Initiation fee is $25,000 with a $10,000 annual fee.

And you STILL have to pay for your meals there. There is a spending MINIMUM per person for each reservation.

This is for people who are bleeding money, apparently.

We'll, it's not really that much of an overkill. There's a Club 33 in Tokyo Disneyland and the 1901 lounge in DCA. So they've already started spreading out.

$12,000 wow that is alot... - I wonder if there is a 20% DVC discount?
I was a guest in Club 33 in Anahiem once, it was pretty cool.

But I will have to wait to be asked as a guest- even $1200 is too much for me Smile
