I love Maelstrom, and I have never seen Frozen (yes, you've all found the one person on the planet that has no idea what all this "Let It Go" hubbub is about), so I'm indifferent on a layover.I don't think it fits, but that whole pavilion needs such help, whatever works I guess.
I'd rather, and this is the bean counter in me, just redo the post ride movie with some Frozen kicked in there, maybe the ride exit is themed to Frozen.
I too, have never seen Frozen, probably never will...and I love the original Norway ride. Its classic Disney to me. WE usually skip out on the movie though...hope the rumor isn't true, but if it is...we will still ride bc we love Disney!

Part of the rumor is the load/unload will be moved to where the theater currently is, and the current load area becomes a show scene... This would make the queue line longer..
You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway.

Makes sense, everyone always skips over the theater anyways.

What theater?
I actually prefer to stop and take in the film. Rushing past these types of things is part of the decline of Epcot.

Lol. I think they mean that wide hallway with a screen and chairs.

I normally do, but last year I sat and watched the film... In all its 80s/90s glory LOL... I think there were MAYBE 10 other people in there... But mostly everyone walked right out...

Lol yea most of the Epcot films are a little old by now.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen them all in the past, but with the 100s of times I've been there I just skip over them now. I meant as I'm skipping over the Norway theater it seems 98% of the people on the ride with me are doing the same thing.

I like it myself and stop [mainly when I go alone because most don't want too :/ ]
I also love the other films, France, China, & Canada. Love the scenery and music in them all!

It never hurts to soak up some air conditioning while enjoying this great Florida heat. :fan:

....I'm sorry to say that I missed my opportunity to 'soak up' the Florida heat this year. I actually would have been on the road back from WDW right now, likely traveling north thru the Wash. DC area. .....had I not needed to move my daughter into college this past weekend.
......maybe next year?

If they want to make a Frozen tie-in why not just refurb the movie at the end and make a tie-in to Frozen there. I'm sure NO ONE would mind the movie being refurbed. (yeah, late to the party on the movie discussion)
That being said, I wouldn't care how they changed *anything* if they would just give me my beloved Imagination back (Dreamfinder AND Figment....ah, but wishful thinking)

If rumors are true, the theater will be going away... So that's one reason they won't refub the movie...
I don't think anyone would care if Maelstrom is refurbed in general... It needs it... Most people have an issue adding Frozen (or characters in general) to attractions in World Showcase (or Epcot in total).
