It's being reported on other boards that the monorail is currently down do to an earlier incident. All those leaving MK are being directed to the ferry/buses. Anyone there now with any info?

EDIT:
It looks as though it's a stoppage and not an accident, thank goodness.

This from the Orlando Sentinel

Emergency crews have responded to a monorail stuck at Walt Disney World Resort, according to Orange County Fire Rescue officials.

Fire officials were called to assist Reedy Creek Fire and Rescue around 5 p.m. Saturday for a monorail stuck between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom. A ladder truck was dispatched at 5:02 to evacuate passengers.

No injuries have been reported and no one was in need of medical attention, according to Orange County Fire and Rescue.

Passengers and bystanders took to social media about the incident saying they were stuck for more than two hours.

It is not known at this time what caused the stoppage.

So glad it's not an accident. The one quite a few years ago was bad enough.

On a slightly different note, the ferry is going to be back up for a while. And a MNSSHP night too!

We were on our balcony at the Poly at the time of the incident. A front had just gone through with rain and winds but things looked to be ok. Then suddenly there was lightening and a tremendous bang near the monorail near GF. ABOUT 5 minutes there was a lightening flash and tremendous bang near where the monorail stopped.

Today they were working on electricals and signals on the Epcot track near the incident. It's starting to look more like a weather event affecting the track/monorail rather maintenance. It was not an accident. They only ran test trains in the morning. It has been running normally since early afternoon.
