We're taking our (soon to be) two year old for his first visit in mid August. We are going down for a few days on the front end of our trip and staying off property and doing some other activities before checking into the "World". One day we were thinking of going to Downtown Disney, but I've been tossing around the idea of maybe doing a waterpark that day instead.
I've been to Typhoon Lagoon, but I've never been to Blizzard Beach. With a two year old, which would you recommend? Pros/Cons of each?

I have never been with little kids, but my first thought is that I would go to Blizzard Beach- simply because the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon has the fun but crazy tidal waves. The wave pool at BB is a traditional one that is easier with kids. I'm sure at each you would be in the very shallow end, but I've seen older kids and adults be sucked under at the TL wave pool and end up flying into little ones who are wading in the shallow end.
Both have kiddie areas, so no trouble there. And both have ample shade and easy lazy rivers. You'll have a great day no matter where you go! :mickey:

We much prefer Blizzard beach for toddlers. We did both water parks last year two 7 year olds and two four year olds. The baby toddler area at blizzard is much nicer, and the shorter four year old couldn't handle the waves at TL even in the shallow part. We like the family slide at BB better too!

T.L for sure. When we went with our 7 year old son and 5 year daughter....they loved the wave pool. Overall T.L. to me and my family is a better water park. There is nothing more fun than the huge waves!! And, there is many other great slides for children. BB is a great park also, We just think T.l. is superior!!:thumbsup:
