Need an answer and I am having trouble locating it on the WDW site.
So, if we pre-purchase annual passes, and they send them in the mail, are we able to link them to MDE before they are officially activated onsite so that we can pre-schedule fastpass plus?
Note: we will be staying on-site so we will have a room-only reservation.
We have only done annual passes once before, and I cannot remember how it works with fast pass plus.

Ok, the answer (I actually found it) it "yes".
So, you get your annual pass exchange certificate in the mail, then you link it to your Disney Account, then you can schedule your fast pass + selections.

When I renewed mine last week I was given a confirmation number which I added to MDE. I don't think they do exchange certificates anymore in general but I know they don't do them for DVC AP.
