Day 7 - MK - DTD
I woke early and made the walk to El Centro to fill the mugs. The walk around the lake is so peaceful in the early morning. I stopped on one of the bridges and watched some fish swimming below. The morning is very muggy and cloudy. When I get back to the room, the kids are up and excited to get to MK. Our first FP is for 7DMT and this will be our first time on the new coaster. 3 Epcot buses showed up in succession and then our MK bus. The monorail was not operating so we took the ferry across and then walked back to Fantasyland. We arrived between 9:15 and 9:30 and the standby line was 25 mins. Our FP window was open so we took our turn. I enjoyed the coaster. I liked the theme and had a good time. The sun came out from behind the clouds and made it difficult to see in the cottage at the end, but  from me. Our next FP was for SpaceMT, but when we arrived, the Standby time was 10 min. Rather than burning the FP, we got in the standby line and rode twice. I cancelled our FP and rebooked it for later that evening. I did the same thing for BTMRR. We walked over and rode twice in standby. Splash was down for technical issues so we rode HM, IASM, Pooh and PoTC. All had 10 min or less for standby and our waits were even shorter. We walked back over to Tomorrowland and rode the peoplemover, Buzz, watched the laugh factory, and then some dark clouds showed up so we started towards the front of the park. The plan was to go to DTD for the afternoon so we walked over to CR to catch a bus. While waiting at the bus stop it started raining. The Florida skies opened up big time. It was raining so hard we had to raise our voices to talk to each other. Lunch was at Earl of Sandwich and then we walked through a drizzle to DisneyQuest and we stayed there for a few hours. Our ADR for dinner was at BOG so we left DQ and walked about as far as the hot air balloon and it started raining hard again. We walked through stores and under awnings, but made it back to the bus stop a little soggy.
We had dinner at BOG and it was fantastic! The kids said they felt like the restaurant was "too fancy" and they didn't belong. I told them that we are allowed to have nice experiences too and then they settled in. We met the Beast and our waiter brought signed birthday cards for the kids with our dessert. The grey stuff was delicious! We rode the Little Mermaid and used our rescheduled FPs on BTMRR and SpaceMT. Finally we watched Wishes before we caught a bus home and turned in for the night.

It's always wonderful when lines are short and you can accomplish so much in a short time!! Despite the falling rain, you clearly had another terrific day!!

Cheers for short lines!:mickey:
Michael, you are making me want to try a trip in September with the lack of crowds/lines you experienced today, especially the headliners. Happy to see that you didn't let the rain deter you, and you had another fantabulous time! I am looking forward to riding 7DMT and eating at BOG. :mickey:

I've only been to WDW in June, Sept and Oct. I want to see the Christmas decorations and go to the party, and maybe someday the F&G festival - otherwise, I love going in Sept/Oct. This coming Sept may be my last for awhile with the kids as they are starting high school and middle school, but who's to say Big Daddy doesn't go by himself in Sept and take the kiddos in June or Aug
