Monday and Sunday were the worst crowds I've ever seen, even worse than Christmas. Although I expected crowds it was more than I thought it would be.
The weather was mostly very nice. It was very hot for MNSSHP which kind of affected the experience for me, but the rest of the time the weather was very cool and sometimes cold.
There were many firsts with us with dining, FW Festival, MNSSHP, and the Yacht Club. I think we have a new favorite resort and I will post more on that later.
We decided we are getting too old to do Disney the way we used to do it. It will probably be a while before I return but I will accept that I have to slow the pace down to enjoy myself. We are thinking February might be a good time to visit next.

We no longer spend all day (open to close in the parks) - gave that up quite a while ago. Typically, we will enter a park, do what we want until we feel we need a break (or the crowds are too much) and then will go and hang out at our resort for a while. We may, or may not, return to a park later in the day/evening.

Yes that's how we will tour next time. Thank goodness we were able to change some fast passes I decided I love FP +

Amy, I hope that your pre-birthday trip was a good one. Sounds incredibly crowded, which shocks me too. My last trip was late October 2012 and while the parks had their peak times, it was nothing near what I am used to for summer crowds (when I usually go).
Happy that you really enjoyed your stay at Yacht Club, and that you were able to experience so many new things. Thank you for sharing your trip and memories with us.

Thanks for your post they were all very informative. We are going in Dec and I took notes for were to eat for counter service. That is usually something that we never do. I was always told it doesn't cost that much more to sit down to eat, so we have done table service for lunch and dinner and have never done counter. So thanks so much for all your information.

The two days that were so busy were Nov. 2 and 3rd. I understand that Sunday because of F&W it would be busy but was shocked at how busy it really was, I expected crowds to thin out that Monday but MK was just as crowded. Our last day Thursday Nov. 4th was not very bad though.
