Dates: November 20-26 Using all our days for parks!!! 7 day hopper. Coming home late on the 26th so we can have Thanksgiving home with family.
Resort: Pop Century
Premise for the trip: A very distant relative left me a small amount in his will. A true gift!!! Let's go to Disney, as our last trip was in November 2012. SO MUCH HAS CHANGED!!!! There are all these new lingo and terms. Magic Bands, FP+, MDE app's on all of the smartphones. Good thing my wrist will have all what I need on it!:thumbsup:
We have reservations at: Teppan Edo, Rose and Crown, Whispering Canyon, Liberty Tree Tavern, Kona Kafe (family favorite), Boma, and Askerhaus Princess Breakfast, and a FP for lunch at Be Our Guest
I have Fast Pass's for every day lined up and made them for early afternoon, as the plan is to get in the parks and hit the ground running! Heat won't be too much (if any) of a factor.
Our magic bands have arrived, and we are ready for some Disney magic, lots of sunshine, and a good 'ole fashioned Family Fun Vacation.
What I'm not loving is the new Fast Pass System. No spontaneity. Got to plan out your day 60 days in advance. Was happy to get a Be Our Guest FP, and picked out our meals late one Sunday night...hope everyone likes what they are getting...although I do hear you can change them. Sometimes towards the end of a trip, we would go to a park based on what bus pulled up first. Not the case with FP+. Thankfully our girls are older, so they can go all day...and we will be GO GO GOING!!!!:mickey:
I think we will enjoy the Magic Bands and the ease of having them, and who knows, Fred might like the break from Fast Pass running. We were a family that could easily do 7 Fast Passes a day.
I have ordered a few grocery items for breakfast for our room, and I have been warned that the Joffrey coffee isn't much better than the Nescafe.
We are super excited and feeling very blessed to be able to go on this trip!!! My niece lent me her "sparkly" Mickey ears headband because she was so excited for me going back to our favorite place!
The countdown is ON!! 10 days from today!!!

Julie, start packing because the next 9 days are going to FLY! Sounds like you have everything in order and are ready to have a fabulous time with Fred and the girls.
I hear ya about having to plan the FP's out 60 days in advance - we are the same type of family who has really mastered our touring style from a FP standpoint, and I am really not looking forward to being the microcosmic vacation planner in the future. Have a great trip...just a comment about FP+, I felt the same way you did before our trip but now I love it. This sounds weird but it actually allowed us more spontaneity. We didn't have to be at the parks at opening time to wait in line for Soarin, Toy Story or Seven Dwarfs. We had a late night and wanted to sleep in the next day. I had already made early morning FP+, I got on my phone and voila, everything changed to the afternoon. We slept in and still got to ride Soarin without a long line. Hope it works as well for you:mickey:

Sounds like you have a good plan set up! As you and I happened to have our BOG lunch fast passes for the same time frame, I hope we are able to meet up as we have planned!
We actually liked the coffee from Joffrey's and think it is 100% better than Nescafe! Note, we like Starbucks and find Dunkin Donuts to be bland, so that could differ from your preferences.
As we are not a family of morning people, this new system actually works better for us. We almost never rode Toy Story Mania or Soarin as all the fast passes were gone by the time we got to that park around 10-10:30.
