Thinking of a trip down to celebrate our 50th Anniversary next year. The actual date is Oct 9th and we are thinking of something in Sept or Oct.  Looking for some helpful tips on what week (crowd wise) would be better to go. Any other suggestions are appreciated to make this a special vacation. TIA

Congrats on your long marriage!!

While the crowds are a bit lower in September and October, in recent years, they have not been really low.  I've seen a day here or there that has much lower than normal attendance but, unless things change, there really hasn't been any slow period in the last several years.  Disney's food & wine festival is in the fall and that usually drives up attendance - particularly in Epcot.  Disney's Not So Scary Halloween Party happens at this time of year as well which means Magic Kingdom will close early on party nights.  Early September - just after most kids return to school - is a little bit slower but even the school schedules do not have the same effect any longer given the number of people who home school and the schools that have adopted year round schedules with varying times off.

September is usually still quite hot and humid.  October is a little bit cooler.  This is still part of hurricane season so it is not out of the question that such a storm will occur during this time frame.
