How does the Fastpass+ work for Rivers of Light at AK? Is there a separate section just for FP holders? Do you still have to wait in line or can you just walk up close to dark and walk in? Just curious.... we will be doing our first afternoon at AK in mid July and thought we would FP one of the Avatar rides along with two others when our 60 day window opens. Thinking about getting a FP for Rivers? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!!

Definitely fast pass it! That said, note, you are still best served to lineup a little early. Also, when we were there in April, their line management/crowd managment were sorely lacking; very un-Disney. Hoping it was just newness.

There are two separate seating zones:

Does anyone know if you HAVE to have a fastpass to see Rivers of Light? We don't have one yet. Does this mean we may not be able to see it? Or that we would have to wait longer in line and get worse seats?

You do not need a fastpass. However, on May 6th when we saw the show (Tiffins dinning package) announcements were being made 90 minutes prior to the show that the general admission seats were full.
