Hi - I just had a little freak out over the weekend and wanted to see if anyone could help me out. We leave in 7 days and as I was going through all my paperwork, etc. I realized that at the time we made our reservations over a year ago, it was before we found out that both my daughters have allergies to tree nuts (cashews, pistachios - major; walnuts, pecans - minor), but no allergies to peanuts. My FIL is also allergic to melon and I found out I have an allergy to bing cherries (go figure, they are my favorite).

We have the epipens and benadryl and have everything on our side taken care of, but was curious if there is a way to have that information linked to the magic bands so when we go to our sit-down restaurants, they know that information up front? I am definitley going to make mention of it before we order of course and talk to the chef(s) as necessary, but was just curious if that is information that I should give Disney in advance so they no.

We are not on the dining plan if that makes any difference.

Any help and/or advice would be greatly, greatly appreciated!! Allergies are so scary!

Have you already made your dining reservations through My Disney Experience? My mother cannot eat anything with gluten and my son has a milk allergy. When I made our ADR's through the MDE app, there were boxes that could be checked for every ADR to indicate a food allergy.

We did back in February but that was before we knew of the kids allergies. Perhaps I'll just call Disney to have them put that on all our ADRs at once rather than going into modify anything myself, and risk screwing something up. Thanks for the advice!

That info won't be on your Magic Bands. You can call Disney and have them add the info to all of your ADRs or you can just inform the CM at the restaurant check-in (or at the counter service order place) that you have allergy issues in your party and they'll assist you from there.

Thanks very much for the advice, I'm going to call them today and remind the CM each time we have a meal.

Sounds perfect! It is worth letting them know in advance, but don't forget to remind them at the check-in station and again when you sit down (if the server doesn't mention it). Most times when I have it noted on the reservation, the check-in host confirms the allergy and stamps the seating ticket so the server is immediately aware too.

There are lots of nut free choices, so it shouldn't be a problem at all to find lots of things everyone can enjoy.

My DD24 and I both are allergic to rosemary(strange I know but results are terrible) every time we go we post it on ADR and also remind them for any meal..The chef's are awesome!!! They come out every time and because rosemary is so easily hidden we are both very careful.
