We are going to WDW the week of Labor day. I was hoping someone could tell me about the crowds during that time? Is it super busy?

It is not super busy. The crowds will be of decent size. It will however be very hot and humid with daily rain in the afternoon. I will also be there that week again to visit my DD who is in the culinary program
In terms of Disney crowds, not too bad at all. With kids all just starting school, not too many people want to take them out quite yet, and it is still crazy hot, so the fall crowds haven't started.

Keep in mind that the Food & Wine festival begins on August 30th which may bring in increased numbers of folks who don't have to worry about school schedules.

We went for Labor Day week back in 2009. While that might seem like ancient history, my bet is that you will find relatively high crowds through the weekend with locals in town. However after that crowds should diminish quickly with children from kindergarten through college back to school. It's a little warm, but I would definitely do that week again.

I go Labor Day week nearly every year. The heat/humidity will be just as bad as summer, with the afternoon thunderstorms. Last year my trip got canceled cause of hurricane Irma so that's a risk too.
But the crowds are very light after Labor Day. That weekend will be a zoo, but starting Tuesday it should be good.
I made my FP+ today (60 day window before Sep 1, which is the Sat of Labor Day Weekend) and was able to get everything I wanted, though Slinky Dog not at the time I wanted. 1 Slinky Dog, 2 FOP, 2 7DMT, and 2 Soarin. Didn't try for Frozen.
