We will be visiting family in northern Florida for the week of Thanksgiving. A few of us will be taking a one day trip to MK on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any advise for us. Right now there are 5 going in all - myself and my 3 adult DDs who are all veteran travelers to WDW. My adult neice will also be joining us. She has only been a couple times. We all have wristbands from previous trips in the past year.

Are the crowds bad at MK that close to Thanksgiving? We have never been at that time. Our last trip was December of last year. Will all of the Christmas decorations be up in the MK? Also will the resort hotels be decorated for Christmas at that time? Can we get FP's? Should we buy our tickets ahead of time or day of? I'm pretty sure we can "attach" them to our wristbands. So many questions. I believe it's easier to plan a long vacation than a day.

We are all excited for this opportunity even if it is just for one day. We plan on opening and closing MK that day. :number1: We're going to try to pack in as many of our favorites as we can. Any advice is welcome. I'm sure we'll all be dragging at the end of the day.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It'll be quite busy but, if you have a plan, you should be able to get by. Most of the resorts will be decorated but, with a one day visit, I think you'd be hard pressed to go to a park and visit the resorts. In order to make fastpass+ reservations in advance, you will need to have tickets prior to your arrival. Given that the trip is just a few weeks away, you may find it difficult to get fastpass+ reservations for the most popular rides/attractions at this time. If you wait until the day of, it will likely be even more difficult. Looks like the Magic Kingdom is slated to open at 8 in the morning and stay open until midnight that day so you'll have a very long day!!
