Travelling with my husband on his business trip soon to Raleigh, NC. We will be bringing my 18 yo daughter and 15 yo son, staying for 4 days. 2 of those days, my DH will be working. I'm really confused where to stay. I love a resort feel, but I'm not seeing that I can find that in Raleigh. I need help! I want someplace pretty, great for our family and easy to get around. Any suggestions on where to stay in Raleigh or the surrounding area?? Thanks!

Do you have to be in Raleigh?
You might consider Chapel Hill area.
Also, it's a little outside of Raleigh, but The Umstead Hotel and Spa is next to a state park with hiking, biking, etc. trails. I haven't stayed there but a friend mentioned it favorably when I had to travel to the area (it was business and I stayed in a boring hotel in Raleigh instead).
