It's still very surreal. Occasionally my husband or I would hear thunder at night before going to bed. This time of year that's not unusual. However, the other night it occurred to me it may actually be fireworks. I glanced out my bedroom window, which is on the second floor, and low and behold -- Hollywood Studio fireworks could be seen in the distance! I can't begin to explain how stinking cool that was.
My kids attend a youth group with a church that holds meetings at Celebration Highschool. Usually I take them and my husband picks them up. The other night I needed to pick them up and again I got a fireworks show on the way. I suppose all those living here get used to it after a while. I kind of hope I never do. :mickey:
